Founded in 1869 and now with more than 2,400 undergraduate and graduate students, Trinity University values very small class sizes, close connections with faculty, and a challenging yet supportive academic environment with broad undergraduate research opportunities. It has been located at its current “Skyline Campus” since 1952, which encompasses 117 acres situated on a hilltop overlooking downtown San Antonio.

With that in mind, Page Southerland Page (“Page”) engaged The Scion Group to work collaboratively on a campus master plan for Trinity University. Scion conducted a market demand analysis for student housing, which included analyzing the current real estate market, assessing current and future demand for student housing, and recommending potential new or renovated housing. This was Scion’s first engagement with Trinity University and the second collaboration of Scion and Page.

Scion’s assessment included design and implementation of a student survey, facilitating student focus group sessions, reviewing the local rental housing market and interviewing key stakeholders. Scion also evaluated housing options at peer institutions to better understand Trinity’s competitive position.
